Our values

Connection Over Compliance

Behavior is communication. Our approach to behavior is to partner with you to determine the cause of the behavior, and work together to meet the need behind it.

Trauma Sensitive

We strive to create a safe, respectful community where children and parents are comfortable to build relationships, self-regulate emotions and behaviors and succeed in all areas of functioning

Relationship Based

Working on skills as a child can be hard. Parenting kids can be hard. We believe relationship building is essential to creating comfort while working on hard things.

Allissa Younan, Occupational Therapist, Owner

After graduating with a master's in Occupational Therapy from the University of New Hampshire, I've had the opportunity to work with hundreds of children and their families during times of uncertainty and change. This work has taken me from hospital-based settings, to early intervention and private clinics. I pride myself on being a lifelong learner by frequently seeking opportunities to learn, grow, and stay up-to-date on evidence-based practice. I have a passion for trauma-sensitive, relationship-based care, that empowers families to feel comfortable and confident supporting their child in any setting.

My goal is to revolutionize therapy services for children and families, shifting services from therapist-child to therapist-parent-child. I look forward to working with you to change the way your family supports one another!

I’ve been a “kid-person,” my whole life, so when I learned about pediatric OT, it felt like a great fit! I pursued OT by completing my M.S. in occupational therapy at the University of New Hampshire, then jumped right into working with kids for the extended school year. I’ve spent time as a therapist learning with children about how to do the things that mean the most to them and their families, from learning to eat a variety of nutritious foods, to working on social conversations, to how to handle and feel emotions in a way that keeps everyone comfortable and safe.

It’s especially important to me that our therapy sessions are going to benefit both your child and your whole family! When we meet, I’ll spend time learning from both you and your child about your goals for therapy! Your family is so important to your child’s growth and development, so in our sessions, we’ll work together to find a great balance of child-led therapeutic play and empowering you to feel confident and capable in helping your child be the very-best versions of themselves. I’m so excited to work with you soon!
